"Tuesday morning I painted this tiny (6x8") study from the boat landing under the Wappoo bridge. It's loose, quick and imperfect, but the process of painting from life aids my work in the studio. Just referencing this study will remind me about the atmosphere of that morning - the heaviness of the air, how the clouds were swirling in front of the sun, the bell of the drawbridge ringing behind me every half hour, and how the egret landed in front of me with it's wings spread wide. Now to get back to my studio painting... have a great day, everyone!" - from my Facebook posting
